The founder of the International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has firmly stated that he has no plans to return to his matrimonial home despite an emotional appeal from one of his sons to come back and help restore order within the family.

Speaking to his congregation during a church service, the outspoken preacher disclosed that he recently received a voice note from his son, Gifted, shortly after moving out of the family residence amid his ongoing marital difficulties with his wife, Florence Obinim.

According to Bishop Obinim, the message focused on concerns regarding the conduct of another son, Promise. He subsequently played the audio recording to members of the church.

In the voice note, Gifted reportedly claimed that Promise had taken a Mercedes-Benz G-Waggon that had been left for the family's use and was later involved in an accident that damaged the vehicle.

Gifted also pleaded with his father to return home, explaining that neither he nor his mother had been able to manage Promise's behaviour.

"Please come back home. You need to control Promise," Gifted reportedly said in the recording while expressing concern over the incident involving the vehicle.

After playing the audio, Bishop Obinim asked members of the congregation whether they believed he should return to the family home. While some advocated reconciliation, others advised caution, citing concerns for his well-being.

However, the controversial preacher made it clear that he has no intention of changing his decision.

"People have been saying that I've left home, and I can confirm that it is true. I have left. I will not go back, and not even my parents, whom I respect deeply, can ask me to return and expect me to obey. My life is important to me," he told the congregation.

The comments come amid a widely publicised marital dispute between Bishop Obinim and Florence Obinim, which has attracted significant attention on social media and within Ghana's entertainment circles.

The controversy began after the preacher publicly accused his wife of changing due to the influence of people around her. He later revealed that he had moved out of the family home and relocated to a luxury residence in Trasacco while addressing challenges in the marriage.

Florence Obinim subsequently responded, stating that if her husband wished to end the marriage, he was free to do so.

Despite his son's heartfelt appeal and growing public interest in the matter, Bishop Obinim appears resolute in his decision to remain away from the family residence as the family dispute continues to unfold.
