December 5, 2025 declared public holiday

The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, December 5, has been declared a statutory public holiday.

In a statement signed by the Minister, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, the public was informed that the day will be observed nationwide in celebration of Farmers’ Day.
Farmers’ Day, marked annually on the first Friday of December, honours the vital role Ghana’s farmers and fishers play in driving national development, ensuring food security, and supporting economic growth.

This year’s commemoration is themed “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future.”
The Ministry encouraged citizens to observe the holiday meaningfully and in recognition of its importance.
