Full list of 62 unrecognised institutions in Ghana by GTEC

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has released a comprehensive list of 62 unrecognised institutions, warning the public to be cautious when dealing with certificates issued by these entities due to serious quality assurance concerns.

In a public notice issued on Friday, 17 April 2026, the Commission named a mix of universities, colleges, seminaries, and training institutions from across the world, including some operating within Ghana.

GTEC cautioned students, parents, and employers to exercise due diligence before enrolling in or accepting qualifications from these institutions.

The full list of 62 unrecognised institutions as at April 2026 includes:
