No clearance for 50k teachers; ignore fake recruitment – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed a recruitment letter circulating on social media, describing it as fake and cautioning the public to disregard it.

The fraudulent letter claimed that financial clearance had been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.

However, GES management has clarified that the document did not originate from the service.

In a statement issued on Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenny, GES stressed: “Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet.”

The Service explained that any official recruitment announcement will be communicated exclusively through its official platforms and those of the Ministry of Education.

GES further advised the public to remain vigilant, disregard the fake letter, and report any related fraudulent activity.
