The matter reportedly came to light when the owner returned and discovered that most of the goods had been sold. Further checks allegedly revealed that there was no money available to account for the sales made during the period.
When questioned about the missing funds, the salesman is said to have admitted that he had given the entire proceeds from the sales to his girlfriend during her visit to the shop.
The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with many expressing disbelief over the alleged actions of the employee. Others have highlighted the importance of trust and accountability in the workplace, particularly when employees are placed in positions of responsibility.
