Barcelona Thrash Olympiacos 6-1 as Fermin Lopez Shines with a Stunning Hat-Trick in the Champions League

Barcelona stormed to a dominant 6-1 victory over Olympiacos at Camp Nou on Tuesday night, powered by an incredible hat-trick from Fermin Lopez in the UEFA Champions League.

Olympiacos threatened early through Daniel Podence, who forced a save just 18 seconds in, but Fermin calmed the hosts’ nerves with a composed finish inside seven minutes after a slick exchange with Lamine Yamal.

The 20-year-old midfielder doubled his tally before halftime, beating Panagiotis Retsos with a deft move and rifling a strike into the bottom corner from Dro Fernandez’s assist.

Ayoub El Kaabi pulled one back for Olympiacos in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot, but their momentum vanished when Santiago Hezze was sent off moments later for a second yellow card.

Barcelona capitalised immediately as Marcus Rashford was brought down in the box by Konstantinos Tzolakis, allowing Yamal to restore the two-goal lead from the spot.

The Catalans then exploded offensively, netting three times in five minutes. Rashford scored in the 74th minute, Fermin completed his first career hat-trick with a thunderous volley, and Rashford added his second soon after.

The emphatic win moves Barcelona to third in the Champions League group standings, reviving their qualification hopes, while Olympiacos remain bottom, level on points with Kairat Almaty after a draw with Pafos FC.
