Builsa South MP Clement Abas Apaak approves the release of GHC331,000 to support 248 needy tertiary students.

Dr Clement Abas Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South and Deputy Minister for Education, has approved the release of GH¢331,000 from his Members of Parliament Common Fund allocation to support 248 brilliant but needy tertiary students in the constituency.
The beneficiaries include 161 female and 87 male students enrolled in universities, technical universities, colleges of education, and nursing and midwifery training institutions across Ghana.

Under the scheme, 166 students in universities, technical universities and other tertiary institutions will each receive GH¢1,500, while 82 students in colleges of education and nursing and midwifery training colleges will receive GH¢1,000 each.
In a letter to the Builsa South District Chief Executive, Dr Apaak directed the timely release of the funds, describing the intervention as an investment in the constituency's future. He said financial challenges should not prevent academically talented but needy students from accessing higher education.

According to him, the initiative forms part of efforts to expand access to tertiary education, promote human capital development, and support youth through education.
Beneficiaries are expected to use the funds to pay tuition fees and accommodation, purchase learning materials, and meet other academic-related expenses.
