EOCO raids Shatta Wale’s residence over alleged vehicle fraud

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has reportedly raided the residence of Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, in connection with investigations into the authenticity of some of his luxury vehicles.

While the exact timing of the operation remains unclear, Shatta Wale has taken to social media today to express his frustration and anger over the incident. According to sources, the artiste has been under EOCO’s watch for some time regarding suspected irregularities involving high-end vehicles in his possession.

In a series of emotional social media posts, Shatta Wale directly addressed EOCO’s Executive Director, Raymond Archer, accusing him of overstepping his mandate and warning that his actions could affect the political fortunes of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“Raymond Archer, EOCO boss, it’s you who will cause the NDC to lose power in the next four years. Bringing guns to my house was uncalled for!” he wrote.

He further stated, “EOCO boss, the President of Ghana did not appoint you to that office to humiliate citizens of this country. Remember, God does not sleep!”

The musician’s comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some calling for restraint while others demand accountability from public officials regardless of status.

EOCO has yet to release an official statement confirming or commenting on the alleged raid.
