Real Madrid delivered an emphatic performance against Austrian side WSG Tirol, running out 4-0 winners at Innsbruck's Tivoli Stadion.

The Spanish giants displayed their attacking prowess with goals from Éder Militão and a brace from Kylian Mbappé, before Rodrygo completed the scoring late in the match.

The match started with Madrid immediately taking control of proceedings. Mbappé signalled his intent early with a dangerous eighth-minute effort that forced goalkeeper Stejskal into action.

The breakthrough came just two minutes later when Militão rose majestically to head home Brahim Díaz's perfectly weighted cross, giving Los Blancos a deserved lead.

Madrid's dominance continued as they doubled their advantage in the 13th minute. Youngster Arda Güler, impressing in midfield, threaded a delightful through ball to Mbappé, who showed superb technique to control and finish with his left foot.

The French forward could have had another before halftime, while Brahim Díaz came agonisingly close with a curling effort that narrowly missed the far post.

After the interval, Madrid picked up where they left off. Güler, continuing his impressive display, rattled the crossbar with a beautifully struck free kick in the 49th minute.

The third goal arrived on the hour mark when Mbappé latched onto Tchouaméni's lofted pass and calmly rounded the goalkeeper before slotting into an empty net.

Second Half Changes

Manager Xabi Alonso took the opportunity to rotate his squad, making seven changes that included handing debuts to several players.

Substitute Rodrygo made an immediate impact, combining well with Mbappé before firing home Madrid's fourth in the 81st minute with a powerful right-footed strike.

While the attacking players grabbed the headlines, Madrid's defensive organisation was equally impressive.

Goalkeeper Lunin, who came on at halftime, made a crucial one-on-one save to preserve the clean sheet, demonstrating the squad's depth ahead of the new season.

The match also saw promising debuts for several players, including Carreras, who played the first hour at left-back.

Late substitutes Thiago and Roberto Martín were also introduced, with the former going close to scoring in the closing stages.

This comprehensive victory provides the perfect platform as Madrid now turn their attention to their La Liga opener against Osasuna at the Bernabéu on August 19th.

The performance showcased both the team's attacking firepower and defensive solidity, suggesting they will be strong contenders as they begin their title defence.
