Shatta Wale's media and public relations manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah (Sammy Flex), has announced that the dancehall star has been released by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after being granted bail of GH¢5 million with two sureties following his detention over a Lamborghini Urus investigation.

The announcement was made around 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, during a demonstration outside EOCO's office, where hundreds of loyal fans had gathered demanding the release of the artist.

"The King is out," Sammy Flex told the cheering crowd, confirming Shatta Wale's release.

Despite the news, some fans insisted on seeing the musician themselves before dispersing.

Many had been at the EOCO premises since morning, singing Shatta Wale's songs, holding placards, and showing unwavering support.

Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, had earlier reported himself to EOCO on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, along with his lawyer to assist with investigations.

The investigation centres on Shatta Wale's yellow Lamborghini Urus, which has been linked by the FBI and US Justice Department to a $4 million fraud case.

EOCO is investigating potential money laundering, tax evasion, and possession of proceeds of crime in connection with the luxury vehicle's acquisition.

According to EOCO's statement, the musician's release was conditional upon meeting the stringent bail requirements, including the GH¢10 million bond backed by two justified sureties and completing all necessary procedural requirements.

The case has sparked major public and industry interest, with fans demonstrating their loyalty throughout the ordeal.

Shatta Wale's management has since thanked fans for their support and solidarity during this challenging period.
