2026/27 Champions League Draw: Full Fixtures, Teams & Dates
The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League has delivered a series of blockbuster fixtures after the league-phase draw was conducted, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs set to face each other in the new-look competition.
Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain have been handed a challenging schedule that includes meetings with Barcelona, Manchester City and Aston Villa, while Premier League champions Arsenal will face the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
The league phase gets underway from 8 to 10 September 2026, with the final scheduled for 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain will begin their title defence with an imposing list of opponents.
The French champions will host Barcelona, Roma, Galatasaray and Slovan Bratislava, while their away fixtures will see them travel to England to face Manchester City and Aston Villa.
PSG will also make trips to Spain and Italy to play Villarreal and Como, respectively.
Luis Enrique’s side defeated both Manchester City and Aston Villa during their run to the Champions League title and will now meet the English clubs again in the league phase.
Arsenal face Real Madrid and Bayern Munich
Last season’s runners-up Arsenal have also been handed a demanding schedule.
The Premier League champions will welcome Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Sabah Baku to the Emirates Stadium.
Their away matches include trips to Bayern Munich, Real Betis, Napoli and Slavia Prague, giving Mikel Arteta’s side several high-profile European tests.

Liverpool will face some of Europe’s leading clubs during the league phase.
The Reds will host Atletico Madrid, Porto, Villarreal and Lens, while their away fixtures include Inter Milan, Club Brugge, Fenerbahce and LASK.
The fixture against Atletico will be one of the standout ties, while the meeting with Inter also promises to attract significant attention.

Manchester United face Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United, who were not among the top-seeded clubs, have been handed a difficult route.
United will host Bayern Munich, Roma, RB Leipzig and Sabah Baku.
Their away schedule includes matches against Atletico Madrid, Sporting CP, Villarreal and Como.
The meeting with Bayern will be one of the biggest home fixtures of the league phase, while the trip to Atletico is another major test.

Other major Champions League fixtures
Several other high-profile matches emerged from the draw.
Manchester City will travel to Barcelona, while Real Madrid will host Inter Milan.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, will visit Barcelona and welcome Borussia Dortmund. The Europa League winners will also face Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce have returned to the Champions League league phase for the first time since the 2008/09 season after defeating Lyon in the play-offs.
New clubs set for Champions League league phase
The 2026/27 competition will feature several teams making their mark on the league phase for the first time.
Como and Sabah Baku are among the new names, while Austrian club LASK has also reached this stage after a dramatic comeback victory over Celtic in the play-offs.
Norwegian champions Viking have also qualified for the Champions League league phase for the first time.
Viking face an eye-catching schedule featuring matches against Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa and Napoli.
How the new Champions League format works
The 2026/27 season is the third campaign to use the expanded Champions League format.
Instead of the traditional group stage, 36 teams compete in a single league phase, with each club playing eight matches against eight different opponents.
The teams are drawn from four pots, with each club receiving a mixture of home and away opponents.
The league-phase matches will take place from September 2026 through January 2027 before the competition moves into the knockout stages.

Where is the 2027 Champions League final?
The Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid will host the 2026/27 Champions League final on Saturday, 5 June 2027.
The stadium, which has been the home of Atletico Madrid since 2017, previously staged the Champions League final in 2019.
Liverpool won the 2019 final at the venue, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 to claim their sixth European Cup/Champions League title.
