PSG crowned Ligue 1 champions for 5th straight season

Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned Ligue 1 champions for a fifth consecutive season after a 2-0 victory over RC Lens, with goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ibrahim Mbaye sealing the title.
Luis Enrique’s side only needed a point to secure the championship against second-placed Lens but delivered a composed and clinical performance to clinch the trophy with one game remaining.
Lens started strongly and created two clear chances in the 20th minute, first through Wesley Saïd, whose effort was saved by Matvey Safonov, before Adrien Thomasson’s follow-up header was cleared off the line by Illia Zabarnyi.

Despite Lens’ early pressure, PSG struck first in the 29th minute when Ousmane Dembélé intercepted possession from Malang Sarr and set up Kvaratskhelia, who finished neatly into the bottom corner.
Dembélé, recently named Ligue 1 Player of the Year, came close to doubling the lead before halftime but missed narrowly, while Safonov remained alert to deny Lens at the other end.
After the break, Lens continued to threaten through Abdallah Sima, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Mamadou Sangaré, but goalkeeper Matvey Safonov produced several key saves to preserve PSG’s advantage.

Despite sustained pressure from the visitors, PSG sealed the win deep into stoppage time when Ibrahim Mbaye fired a powerful strike off the crossbar and into the net to secure a decisive second goal.
The result confirms Paris Saint-Germain as champions once again, extending their domestic dominance under Luis Enrique.
