Real Madrid agree €2m deal to sign Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei from Granada

Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei from Granada in a deal worth around €2 million.
The 21-year-old centre-back is regarded as a promising young defender and is expected to continue his development within Real Madrid’s youth setup before potentially making the step up to the senior team.
Naasei has reportedly completed his medical ahead of the transfer and will initially join Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s reserve team.
The move represents a significant milestone in the defender’s career, with Real Madrid reportedly beating competition from a German club that had also expressed interest in signing him.

Real Madrid’s plan is for Naasei to gain valuable experience with Castilla while adapting to the club’s playing philosophy and the demands of competing at the highest level.
The Spanish giants are understood to have been impressed by the Ghanaian’s development since moving to Spain, prompting them to invest in his long-term potential.
Naasei will have the opportunity to train and compete within one of the most renowned football development systems in the world, alongside other highly rated young prospects.
The ultimate objective will be to develop sufficiently to challenge for a place in Real Madrid’s first team in the future.

Naasei primarily operates as a centre-back, although his versatility allows him to play at right-back when required.

The Ghanaian joined Granada’s Under-19 side in 2023 after moving from Ghanaian lower-tier club Emmanuel City.
Since arriving in Spain, he has progressed through Granada’s ranks and established himself as an important part of the club’s setup.
The 21-year-old has made 71 appearances in all competitions since moving to Spain and has already featured in both of Granada’s La Liga 2 matches this season.
His reported move to Real Madrid could now provide the next major step in his development as he looks to establish himself at one of the biggest clubs in world football.
