Below is a ranking of the 10 largest religions in the world, arranged from number 10 to number 1 based on estimated global followers.

10. Baháʼí Faith

The Baháʼí Faith has approximately 8–9 million followers worldwide. Founded in the 19th century by Baháʼu'lláh in Persia (modern-day Iran), the religion emphasises unity among all people, equality between men and women, and harmony between science and religion.

9. Judaism

Judaism, one of the world’s oldest monotheistic religions, has about 14–15 million adherents globally. The religion is centred on the covenant between God and the Jewish people and is primarily practised in Israel and the United States.

8. Sikhism

Founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak in India, Sikhism has roughly 25–30 million followers worldwide. The faith promotes equality, honest living, and devotion to one God, with the majority of Sikhs living in India’s Punjab region.

Ethnic or traditional religions include a wide range of indigenous belief systems practised by specific cultures and communities, particularly in Africa and parts of Asia. Collectively, these traditions account for around 300 million followers.
