Mahama begins nationwide tour to assess development projects

President John Dramani Mahama is set to undertake an extensive nationwide tour across all 16 regions of Ghana, aimed at evaluating the progress of ongoing development projects and deepening engagement with citizens at the grassroots level.

The tour will see the president visit various parts of the country to inspect key infrastructure and social intervention initiatives being implemented under his administration.

The exercise is designed to ensure that government policies and programmes are delivering measurable benefits to communities, while also identifying areas that require additional attention or intervention.

The nationwide tour will officially begin in the Bono Region, where President Mahama is scheduled to visit from Wednesday, March 18, to Thursday, March 19, 2026.

During this initial phase, he is expected to inspect selected project sites, engage with local authorities, and gain firsthand insight into the region’s development priorities and challenges.

Following his visit to the Bono Region, the president will continue the tour across the remaining regions in phases, ensuring comprehensive national coverage.

Each stop is expected to focus on region-specific development needs while contributing to a broader assessment of progress across the country.
